Medical Office Assistant/receptionist

Burlington, Canada Medical Doctor's office Full time

Responsibilities:

- Receive phone calls and take messages, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain patient information to file and update patient records
- Manage patient flow and triage patient care
- Prepare requisitions and make appointments for medical exams
- Assist with referral processing and keep track of the appointments
- Exam room set up, maintain a highly organized and clean work space
- Facilitate communication between physician and patients with appropriate documentation
- Other administrative duties assigned by the doctor

Qualifications:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Mandarin or Cantonese (considered strong asset)
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize the workload
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work independently with minimum supervision
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times

**Experience**:

- Previous medical reception/office administration experience is an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burlington, ON L7R 4H9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Language**:

- Mandarin/Cantonese (preferred)

Work Location: In person
