As an Electrical Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical projects are executed efficiently and effectively, while adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your role will involve planning, organizing, and coordinating various aspects of electrical projects, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Review drawings, specifications, scope and shop drawings (read, interpret, and understand electrical drawings, specifications scope and shop drawings)
- Review and keep track of the project schedule
- Assist the project staff in interpreting electrical drawing
- Assist in managing and maintaining project schedule and budget
- Communicate with the operation manager and others about the project status and issues that may impact schedule and cost of the project
- Track and manage change orders, project extras, and material delivery and schedule
- Provide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with the written and approved policy, standards, programs, and other applicable procedures
- Source and order materials, and ensure multiple vendor costs are obtained
- Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, contractors and suppliers supporting the project
- Review mechanical shop drawings and compare with electrical drawings
- Coordinate ESA inspections
- Manage total project closeout including but not limited to closeout documentation and deficiency sign off
- Be responsible for take-off and BOM for extra work pricing
- Prepare quantity take-offs to validate extra work costs

**Requirements**:

- **Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma from an accredited institution OR Electrical Estimating 1 and 2 OR 2+ years experience in electrical estimating and take-offs**:

- **With at least 3-5 years of Project Coordination or Management knowledge and experience**:

- **Valid Class G license required**:

- **Extensive knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code is a requirement**:

- **Extensive knowledge of Canadian Building Code is a requirement**:

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or equivalent certificate is a plus
- Knowledge of electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices is beneficial
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and facilities
- Excellent interpersonal communication - both oral and written
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Customer-service orientated
- With the ability to work well with others and in a team environment
- With the ability to prioritize tasks independently
- With organizational and time management skills

- G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Valid G Drivers license
