**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Manager, Wellbeing supports the development and implementation of strategic workplace wellbeing policies, processes, and initiatives that considers a strategic holistic approach to supporting employees’ emotional, social, financial, and physical well-being. The goal of these initiatives will be to mitigate risks, prevent work-related injury and illness, reduce sick leave and accommodation requests, promote employee health and wellbeing, and support employees in bringing their whole selves to work. Serves as a role model in the development of an organizational culture and promotion of the vision of wellbeing, and mental health that is embedded with equity, diversity, and inclusion.

**Responsibilities**:
**Workplace Wellbeing Management**
- Works with stakeholders to develop a multi-year workplace wellbeing strategy in collaboration with stakeholders’ vision that is industry-leading, and aligned with the Seneca strategic plan.
- Considers a holistic approach to supporting employees’ emotional, social, financial, and physical well-being that is embedded in the workplace culture.
- Establishes metrics and key performance indicators for evaluating outcomes, including the reduction of leaves due to mental health, stress and anxiety, and frequency of burnout.
- Reviews, evaluates, and provides recommendations to administration processes and procedures, promoting continuous improvement to drive operation efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversees the collaborative work of the Wellbeing team to provide services with 3rd party providers on programs to support the development of wellness related strategies.
- Provides integrated and collaborative advice to the organization on all HR matters related to mental health and wellbeing.
- Manages and tracks costs associated with wellness and mental health initiatives.
- Develops preventative programs to decrease the frequency of burnout while enhancing the overall wellbeing of employees.

**External Relations and Outreach**
- Implements and co-chairs mental health and wellbeing committee at institutional level.
- Consults and engages broadly with post-secondary institutions in order to ensure ongoing learning and knowledge of best practices and measure trends in the market pertaining to health and well-being.
- Collaborates and works with external agencies and service providers that pertain to employee wellbeing, including the Employee Family Assistance Program.

**Other Duties**
- Facilitates and presents wellbeing related sessions for employees and leaders.
- Develops strategies and procedures for new and unanticipated initiatives and special projects.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Four (4) year degree in in public health, psychology, social sciences, or related field.
- NIDMAR Certified Return to Work Coordinator Certification (RTWC) is an asset.
- NIDMAR Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) is an asset.
- Registered Rehab Professional (RRP) is an asset.

**Experience**
- Nine (9) years of relevant experience leading disability management, counselling, mental health, or other areas in the health and well-being field.
- Experience managing diverse stakeholders in a unionized environment.
- Experience in a leadership role managing complex relationships, preferably in a large organization.
- Experience in case management, counseling, and evaluation.

**Skills**
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and solve challenging problems in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
