Conservation Account Manager

The Conservation Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for energy efficiency program promotion and opportunity identification within assigned commercial accounts. In addition, the CAM will provide technical support and guidance through energy savings initiatives undertaken by key accounts, in order to achieve a Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) target.

- Working with key accounts, trade associations, channel partners and other supply chain members, identifies and develops energy savings projects in order to meet assigned CDM targets
- Develops and implements strategic account plans for the key customers and manage multi-level relationships with key accounts
- Working with key accounts, trade associations, channel partners and other supply chain members, identifies and develops energy savings projects in order to meet assigned CDM targets
- Achieves assigned energy savings targets
- Develops strategic relationships with industry associations, supply chain, and engineering firms
- Identifies energy efficiency measures and opportunities in the assigned key account organization
- Works with key account staff including facilities, engineering, management and other departments to promote energy efficiency in the organization
- Identifies key influencers and key channels for successful implementation of programs
- Provides expertise on market intelligence, research and strategies.
- Prepares and deliver high quality presentations and proposals tailored to clients, as well as any other internal and external groups as needed
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to foster continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services provided
- Proactively work with the Program Manager and other departments such as Engineering, Finance & Administration, and Measurement and Verification to identify efficiency improvements.
- Attend industry events
- Regular travel within the specified region is required. Occasional overnight travel to other parts of Ontario is required which may include remote locations
- Performs other duties as required from time to time
**In this exciting career opportunity, you will have**
- 8+ years of experience in commercial energy efficiency
- 3- or 4-year technical degree or considerable experience in commercial energy efficiency
- P.Eng, B.Eng, B.Sc., CEM, CET designations are preferred
- Lives in/around Saskatoon or Regina within the province of Saskatchewan
- Strong influence and negotiation skills; ability to persuade or influence others to adopt or accept a point of view or take a course of action
- Passionate about energy efficiency with a focus on technology solutions; has demonstrated advocacy throughout education and professional pursuits
- Demonstrated ability to drive energy savings and achieve or exceed energy savings targets
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work well with all levels of management, staff and external contacts.
- Very strong customer service orientation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and working relationships with others both internal and external; demonstrated responsive professional attitude
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly spreadsheet, word processor and presentation software is required
- Experience within an industrial service-based company with an emphasis on growth and customer service
- Experience in an engineering services company is preferred
Pay: From $42.50 per hour
