**Job Summary**

The Manager Strategic Partnerships, Sponsorships and Donations is responsible for guiding the execution and implementation of CN's Sponsorship and Donation Strategy in order to reinforce the Company’s sustainability and strong engagement in the communities and with stakeholders across its network, by prioritizing areas that yield positive impacts on the Company’s reputation and visibility. As the face of partnerships, sponsorships, donations and vital Company liaison with external stakeholder groups and not-for-profit sector, the incumbent is a strategic thinker and self-starter, with a strong background in sponsorships, donations, event planning, and brand advertising. The position promotes the organization’s community support and reputation. The role fosters positive relations with national, regional, and local community organizations.

**Main Responsibilities**

**Strategic Planning, Measurement & Tracking**
- Develop a clear strategy anchored on a few key pillars (e.g. environment, safety, Innovation, DEI and Indigenous) supported by a structured assessment methodology
- Oversee a multi million budget of sponsorships, donations, and partnerships
- Develop, track and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to internal stakeholders
- Support the review of existing processes to identify areas of opportunity and ensure that all established practices are aligned with the organizations’ strategy
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the design and implementation of a Sponsorship and Donation Strategy
- Analyze data to confirm or align current strategy
- Participate in the determination, tracking and measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Communicate KPIs to internal stakeholders
- Lead the preparation of annual reports

**Community Engagement Promote CN as a Good Neighbour**
- Act as the organization’s Ambassador by being visible in the community, supporting corporate and public initiatives
- Build positive relationships with the community, stakeholder groups, and key organizations across CN’s network
- Identify and optimize sponsorships and partnerships strategically
- Shape the perceptions of the public and the community positively and target stakeholders, as well as strengthen the organization’s reputation
- Identify opportunities that align with corporate objectives to raise brand awareness with the public
- Enhance and safeguard the Company’s brand and reputation

**Return on Community Investments**
- Manage and assist Public Affairs Leads in Canada and the United States (U.S.) in overseeing donations, sponsorships, partnerships, and CN’s participations at events to ensure return on community investments
- Ensure community investments are aligned with the organization’s strategic plan and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards for recognition as a strong social corporate leader in the business community

**Working Conditions**

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress and be available to work outside of regular hours as required.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**

Marketing, Sponsorship, and Donations
- Between 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in marketing, sponsorship, and donations or event management
- Experience in presenting concepts
- Experience in strategy and planning development

**Education/Certification/Designation**
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
