- Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure services the Technical Analyst - Networks is responsible for all aspects of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s complex information technology architecture in the Technical Analyst - Networks group. The Technical Analyst - Networks is instrumental in improving maintainability and reliability, enabling enhanced business capability and processes, and improving the quality and efficiency of ITS. The Technical Analyst - Networks is required to maintain a high degree of professional knowledge in the following areas:

Network Management:

- Design, implement, and oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of support and management of wired and wireless network solutions.
- Acquisition, installation, configuration, and operation of network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, beacons, wireless access.
- Design, implement, and continuous improvement and support of Internet access.
- Design, implement, and continuous improvement and support of WAN/LAN/SRnet configuration, utilization and access.

Voice Management:

- Design, implement and oversee the support and management of VoIP system, Call handling system, voice management, and 911 service to ensure continuous improvements and quality service are provided.

Video Management:

- Design, implement and oversee ongoing support and management of video solutions.
- Acquisition, installation, configuration and operation of enterprise Video Conferencing solutions.

Management:

- Configuration and management in Desktop instant messaging
- Configuration and management in web based collaboration and document management platform
- Acquisition, installation, configuration of enterprise communication and collaboration solutions.

- 1. Minimum two year diploma from a recognized institution in Information Technology (foreign education must have Canadian equivalency certification) or an equivalent combination of recent and relevant education, training and experience.
