We are looking for a Coordinator for the Provincial Outreach Program to join our Therapy Services Team. Therapy Services at the BC Centre for Ability includes this newly formed Provincial Outreach Program, the Early Intervention Therapy Program, the North Shore School Occupational Therapy Program, the Community Brain Injury Program, and SET-BC.

The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating outreach services to areas around the province that are underserved, rural and/or remote. This will involve an intake of new referrals and prioritization of services to areas of greatest need. The Coordinator will be working with an internal team that may include an Occupational Therapist, a Physiotherapist, a Speech Language Pathologist, a Behavioral Consultant and a Therapy Assistant. The internal team will provide both in-person and virtual support to communities around the province that may include direct service, mentorship or support to the existing team in the communities. The Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating private contractors throughout the province to provide services to communities in need.

This position involves and requires collaborative innovation and learning, to build and maintain purposeful connections and relationships with community leaders, families, local agencies across British Columbia. The employee should understand the unique context of working in remote and rural regions of the province and meaningfully supporting children and families of Indigenous ancestry.

**Responsibilities**
- Review incoming referrals and determine prioritization for services
- Enroll therapy service providers across the province and engage in service contracts
- Monitor funding and maintain up to date financial records
- Use Evidence Based Practice and Family Centered Care to guide decision making
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and community partners
- Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, medical liaison meetings, and in-services
- Travels to communities throughout the province, frequency based the needs of the community
- Practices using a Trauma Informed approach
- Maintain up to date records that meet agency and regulatory body requirements
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed

**Qualifications**

**Education, Training and Experience**
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology
- A minimum 2-years’ experience working in pediatrics is preferred
- Previous experience working in rural, remote or indigenous communities is an asset
