BIXI is a key player in urban mobilitý. Its vision is to transform the urban experience through active, accessible, innovative and collaborative mobilitý. Created in 2014 by the City of Montreal, BIXI Montréal is a non-profit organization that manages the bike-sharing system in the greater Montreal area. The system includes more than 9,000 bikes and 680 stations on the Montreal territory, as well as in Laval, Longueil, Westmount, Mount Royal and Montreal East.

As part of its digital transformation and to support its growth, BIXI Montreal is looking for a data analyst/scientist to join the planning and business intelligence team.

Under the direction of the Director of Planning and Business Intelligence, the person in charge will provide various statistics on the BIXI bike-sharing system and ensure the extraction, valuation, and visualization of data as well as develop predictive statistical models to ensure BIXI's operational excellence.

This is a permanent position with benefits offered after 3 months of employment.

**You will**:

- assist users in formulating their business needs and requests;
- identify or create performance indicators to meet the needs of work teams;
- transform, synthesize and simplify information to make it accessible to the management team or the public;
- coaching users in the interpretation and understanding of data;
- develop, validate, implement and maintain explanatory and predictive models designed to improve and optimize the company's operations;
- present the various results to the different partners of the company and socialize the different projects;
- perform descriptive and explanatory analyses using the wide variety of data stored in the various data warehouses;
- explore, transform and analyze large amounts of data;
- stay current with best practices, newly developed tools and algorithms that can bring significant value to the business.

**Job requirements**:
**What you must have**:

- a degree in data science, information systems, or business intelligence;
- a degree in data science, statistics, mathematics or business intelligence ;
- experience in quantitative analysis and modeling
- critical thinker;
- autonomous;
- ability to learn quickly and be resourceful;
- ability to write complex SQL queries
- One to three years of experience in data management or analysis;
- experience as a business analyst (an asset);
- experience as a database administrator (an asset).

**Desired profile**:

- Ability to handle ambiguous situations and to quickly understand new concepts;
- excellent knowledge of SQL and Python;
- proficiency in visualization tools, namely Power Bi;
- knowledge of Snowflake, Matillion et DBT;
- development knowledge (an asset) and use of API;
- ability to work and deliver multiple projects at once;
- results oriented, initiative and innovation;
- excellent written and oral communication skills;
- proactive and solution oriented;
- bilingual (English and French)
