**Summary**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to support our financial department. The Assistant Controller will assist in managing financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

**Your Impact**:

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Complete month-end reports, which include maintaining Work in Progress (WIP) listings, capital assets and depreciation calculations for all companies.
- You will be preparing monthly reports such as job detail reviews, sales analysis reports and any other reports as requested
- You will be collecting, analyzing and communicating internal financial information to support strategic decisions within the company
- Your advanced financial analytic skills will allow you to review actual performance versus the budget and forecasts; analyze trends and be able to provide an executive summary of findings
- Using your advanced problem-solving skills, you will make recommendations to improve operational processes and systems
- You will run monthly financial/job update meetings with the finance and operations teams for each division. With your outgoing, personable attitude you will have no problem communicating and being involved on a daily/weekly basis with the manufacturing team on the floor to understand current job status and address any discrepancies
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- You will assist with other tasks and special projects when needed

**What you bring to the team**:

- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration majoring in Accounting is preferred
- CPA or similar certification
- 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- You will need advanced financial analytic and problem-solving skills to understand, explain and resolve complex business issues - we like to hire people who can think outside the box and think through problems to develop solutions quickly
- You will need strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in order to interact effectively with all levels in the organization
- You will have hands-on experience providing analytical support to the Operations/Manufacturing Team
- You will need advanced presentation/interactive skills with the demonstrated ability to convey information/ideas to groups of people
- You will know all the ins and outs of Microsoft Excel
- You’re a self-motivator, highly effective working independently or within a team
- You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, ready to jump in quickly to set up a plan and be diligent
- Organization and time management will be critical to your success, taking on several projects at once and adapting quickly to new situations
- You have a passion for continuous improvement
