**About the Position**:
The Municipality of Brockton invites qualified applicants for the position of Municipal Executive Coordinator. This position will provide support to the CAO and Director of Operations including providing progressive and professional administrative assistance to ensure excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. With a variety of daily tasks this will be an exciting position with the opportunity to work on a variety of community projects. The Municipal Executive Coordinator will work with various members of the Senior Management team assisting the CAO with coordination of project implementation, development coordination and administrative activities related to economic development, policy and strategic alignment. This is a full-time, maternity leave coverage position concluding end of February 2025.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Provides administrative support for the Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Operations.
- Works with the CAO on strategic and policy alignment and various projects and initiatives.
- Maintains departmental support services by managing records/file maintenance.
- Compiles, reviews and inputs information for Operations & CAO for the municipal website and social media and posts as required.
- Tracks complaints and feedback from the public, examines trends and recommends improvements.
- Assist the CAO with implementation of the Corporate Strategic Action Plan and various Corporate plans in conjunction with the CAO and Senior Management Team through the collaborative development of annual work plans and programs and assists with preparation of ongoing updates and yearly reporting.
- Posts and assist in preparation of request for proposals (RFP’s), Quotations and Tenders for CAO, Director of Operations and Operations Manager.
- Designs, authors, edits and issues public and media communications, including releases, advisories, newsletters, flyers, brochures, guides, booklets, website content, social media posting and any other print or non-print materials intended for internal, public or media consumption for the CAO and Director of Operations as required.
- Undertakes background research on policy initiatives as assigned including, carrying out research and analysis, preparing briefing notes and assisting in the development of action plans and recommendations in preparation for Council.
- Administration and record updates to the Municipal Cemetery computer records, Keystone and Store Orchard, as well as updating of cemetery books

**Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills Required**:

- Post-Secondary education related to business administration, public administration, or legal.
- Previous experience in a municipal environment with knowledge of operations is considered an asset.
- Ability to be flexible to changing demands while maintaining accuracy.
- Works cooperatively with team members and staff in other departments to ensure necessary workflow.
- Excellent business writing skills, with attention to detail and adaptability.
- Assertive, confident and thrives under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work outside normal business hours, as required.
- Valid G Driver’s License.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand legislation, knowledge of the Municipal Act, familiarity with e-Laws is an asset.

- Contract terms effective January 2, 2024 and will conclude on February 28, 2025.
