**Your work environment at EXP**
In this role, you will be a part of the **Oil & Gas team **, based in **Brampton, ON **office and have the opportunity to be responsible for managing the piping system design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance for projects in the oil and gas industry. The role requires expertise in piping design, piping material selection, fabrication, and installation procedures. The Piping Manager must ensure that all piping systems comply with industry standards and project specifications, and that they are installed and maintained safely and efficiently.
**What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Manage the piping design process from conceptualization to finalization, ensuring that all design work meets project requirements and is compliant with industry standards.
- Select appropriate piping materials and specifications for different project requirements, ensuring that all materials meet project specifications and are compatible with the intended use.
- Develop and implement piping fabrication and installation procedures, ensuring that they are in line with project specifications and industry standards.
- Manage piping design teams, ensuring that they work efficiently and safely, and that all design work meets project specifications and is in compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that piping systems are integrated into overall project design and execution plans.
- Conduct pipe stress analysis.
- Ensure that all piping work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. Prepare reports and documentation related to piping system design, installation, and maintenance.
**What your experience looks like**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Eligible for P.Eng.
- At least 10 years of experience in piping system design, fabrication, and installation in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ASME, ASTM, API, and ANSI.
- Proficient in piping design software, such as AutoCAD, CADWorx, SmartPlant3D, CAESAR II, and Pipeflow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and motivate individuals to achieve project goals.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex piping issues. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
