Accounting Clerk Position Available Immediately

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable duties
- Investigation and resolution of invoice discrepancies and contacting customers regarding past due items
- Reconcile vendor statements and request copies as required
- Batching and posting purchase orders, packing slips and vendor invoices
- Processing payments to vendors
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding payment status of vendor invoices
- Respond to vendor inquiries
- Visa reconciliations
- Posting customer payments
- Accurate document filing and management of records (digital and hard copy)
- Working with staff and customers regularly

**Experience & Skills**:

- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Experience
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge an asset
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized with a strong work ethic
- Proficient in Sage and Excel
- Experience in Office programs, Word and PDF Editing an asset
- Accountable, dependable and flexible
- Must be able to work under pressure and part of a team
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulations of purchasing, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
