We are currently looking for a **Culinary Associate** to join our team in **Waterloo, ON.**
***: Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the incumbent would be responsible for overseeing and facilitating aspects of the Onward Manufacturing kitchen, as well as enhancing all Onward Manufacturing’s guest experience through assisting with event planning and food service.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Cooking and Event Planning**_
- Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining and developing the Broil King cooking techniques.
- Preparation and Cooking for private functions.
- Organize and Assist with BBQ events and ensuring food safety standards.
- Develop standard cooking routines for lunch, while preparing staff lunches.
- Be involved in planning and coordination of entertaining visitors.
- Maintain the showroom by stocking shelves where needed and making sure all BBQs are cleaned and polished.
- Cleaning and organizing the kitchen.
- **Food Styling**_
- Work with the graphics team to create visually appealing food to stage on BBQs or wherever it might be needed.
- Style food appropriately for Photoshoots to promote and tell the story outlined by the Creative Director.
- Reduce food waste by utilizing, in a safe manner, food that has been used for photo shoots.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- This position requires the incumbent to be available both in the office, as well as working off site based on locations of events.
- Travel to offsite events is required.
- The working area and kitchen are expected to be organized, clean and well maintained.
