We are currently looking for a motivated **Deficiency Technician** to join our team full-time for a 6-month contract.

You are reliable, customer-service focused, knowledgeable and skilled. You have experience in many areas of handyman repair and understand the value of building and maintaining relationships with our residents.

As Deficiency Technician, you are a key member of our team responsible for quality finishing, repairs and touch-ups. You will build customer relationships and uphold our standard of excellence in Customer Service. Embodying our values, you show respect and courtesy to all homeowners and colleagues.

You have a strong background as a skilled tradesperson and have proven communication skills with supervisors, colleagues and customers. You are self-motivated, trust worthy and have a strong work ethic. You excel at quality workmanship, attention to detail and hold yourself accountable with a high degree of integrity.

**Responsibilities**:
Completion of general repairs and finishing tasks, including but not limited to, drywall repair, caulking, silicone, DAP, and painting

Managing trades called in for service work

Diagnosing problems to ensure the correct technician or team is onsite

Minor communications with homeowners

Minor carpentry repairs, cabinets and fixture adjustment/replacement

Maintain clean and safe work areas

Ensuring each unit is in pristine condition prior to homeowner turnover

**Qualifications**:
Minimum 3 years experience as a skilled Handyman, Finishing Technician or General Contractor working in Multi-family residential job sites

Experience working in 6 storey wood-frame multi-family projects

Extremely high attention to detail, quality standards and workmanship, takes pride in work

Strong problem-solving skills, resourceful and solutions-minded

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Team player who can work independently and is reliable

Customer service oriented

Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Valid Driver’s Licence with clean driving record

Able to pass background check

**Education & Certifications**:
Minimum High School Diploma, Trade Certification preferred

Aerial Lift Training

Fall Arrest Training

First Aid & WHMIS Training

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
