**Position Overview**:
They should be able to go beyond their typical day-to-day job description in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Process multi-provincial (Quebec included) payroll, changes and adjustments for 900+ employees (including salaried and commission employees)
- Responsible for full-cycle payroll processing and transmitting, including ensuring payroll remittances and deductions are compiled (e.g. salaries, benefits, loans, board member fees, severance payments, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments)
- Ensure new hires, transfers, leaves of absences and terminations are accurately reflected in payroll and benefits systems
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy of information and reconciliation of data across systems (payroll, data feeds to benefits, retirement and share purchase programs)
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reconciliations of payroll-related information
- Prepare statutory reporting according to legislative requirements (e.g., WSIB and EHT)
- Ensure operational effectiveness of payroll and benefits processes
- Administer benefits and retirement plan enrolments, changes and terminations
- Create and submit Records of employment (ROE) to Service Canada
- Communicate with employees and managers on payroll and benefit queries
- Track all payroll and benefits processes, review, and complete audits as per the annual audit schedule, run reports in excel and provide data analysis
- Handle inquiries regarding payroll and benefits with internal or external stakeholders
- Prepare calculations and reports for Stats Canada or any other legislative body
- Provide backup coverage as needed
- Assist with the annual reporting and reconciliation of year-end reporting, T4 slips and T2200s
- Support HR team with special projects or initiatives as required

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- 5 - 7 years progressive payroll experience
- Experience in Benefits Administration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in processing commission pay
- Ability to articulate technical terms and payroll processes
- Detail-oriented and ability to manage competing priorities and a passion for detail and organization
- Flexibility and adaptability required in dealing with a variety of situations
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Confidentiality and discretion are mandatory
- Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce will be an asset
- Wealth management industry experience is an asset

**Education**:

- College diploma
- Completion of PCP designation
