**JOB PURPOSE**:
The Afternoon Plant Technician is responsible for troubleshooting machinery and related equipment within the plant, while occasionally performing mould changes for the afternoon shift. This is an all encompassing role on the afternoon shift and will also perform duties related to maintenance, set-up, and material handling. The shift for this position is Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - midnight.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to injection moulding machinery, robotics, and all auxiliary equipment; monitor and inspect quality of material produced
- Troubleshoot sensor issues and initiate corrective action via appropriate channels
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report any safety hazards or behaviour to leadership right away
- Maintain records and inventory of equipment, tools, and general supplies
- On occasion, prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes
- Sweep, remove garbage/debris, and wipe down areas as needed
- Promote MPC's core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Basic working knowledge of English, verbal & written
- Basic mathematical skills
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to safely operate necessary equipment
- Forklift Operator Certification preferred
