In this individual contributor level role, you will work to bring the full story of the Canadian P&C business to the Executives. This role functions as a conduit for where information flows across the organization.
**Manager, Reporting Job Description**
- Works closely with Finance leadership across Canadian P&C and takes initiative to understand the underlying business drivers
- Works with line of business finance teams as well as collaborates across cross functional teams (Risk, Capital, Strategy, Product, etc.) to ensure results are accurately represented and the Key Performance Indicators of the businesses are highlighted for management discussion and analysis
- Leads the governance and controls associated with business cases and acts as champion for Canadian P&C. Understand the organization requirements and provide guidance to cross functional teams
- Leads Competitive Analysis on quarterly basis and highlights BMO performance vs. peers with focus on analyzing key metrics and financial performance
- Supports the monitoring and management of financial performance against plans, forecasts, initiatives and objectives
- Provides clear direction to partners on reporting requirements and manages timelines accordingly
- Actively participates in summarizing results for quarterly financial release, Analyst slides, Board materials and speaking note
- Actively monitor controls & governance participate in quarterly reporting disclosures on P&C Financials
- Implement a mindset of ongoing process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency as well as drive analytical insight
- Supports and represents Cad P&C on pan Finance transformational initiatives
- May own internal/external stakeholder relationships.
- Integrates information from multiple sources (e.g. financial and operational systems) to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience. (Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, Anaplan, etc.)
- Verbal & written communication skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Collaboration and Relationship Management skills
**Compensation and Benefits**:
$74,800.00 - $138,600.00
**Pay Type**:
Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
