**Your Opportunity**

Celero is looking for a highly capable database Team Lead to enhance the performance of our organization's databases. You will be creating and implementing standardized database management procedures, and overseeing the installation, security, and upgrading of our databases.

To ensure success as a database Team Lead, you should possess extensive knowledge of database architecture and experience in a similar role. An outstanding database Team Lead will be someone whose database management expertise translates into optimal database performance.

**A Day in the Life**
- Enhancing the scalability and performance of existing database architecture.
- Developing database structures and features according to organizational needs.
- Hiring, supervising, and mentoring database administration teams.
- Protecting data by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls.
- Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics.
- Developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Preparing and presenting system performance reports to senior managers.
- Performing database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software.
- Documenting processes and complying with best practices in database management.
- Keeping up to date with developments and trends in database management.

**Your Resume**
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science, information systems, or information technology or related area is preferred
- At least 5+ years of experience in database management
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Oracle Certification an asset
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate
- Leads and supervises the day-to-day administration, management, troubleshooting, and support of enterprise databases within the Celero technical environments, integration with other systems as necessary, and the maintenance of high standards for availability and security
- Ensures monitoring is in place for key production systems on a 24/7 basis
- Provides performance monitoring and tuning to ensure efficient operations of databases against established KPI's and SLAs
- Provides leadership towards transition to new technologies, cloud-based services, in coordination with other IT teams
- Drives resource and capacity management across the team to support projects and allocation of assignments.
- Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
- In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security.
- Knowledge of best practices in database management.
- Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
