**Aviation Safety Data**
**Analyst** you will conduct comprehensive analysis of safety data (cleaning, analyzing, interpreting, and displaying data)
using a variety of statistical methods and business intelligence tools to uncover key insights that lead to
informed risk decisions. The position reports to the
**Aviation Safety Manager** and will be located in Toronto, ON.

**What You’ll Do**:
- Maintain safety performance measurement system to monitor SPIs and leading indicators of risk within the airline;
- Conducting in-depth studies of aviation safety issues on an on-going basis, to identify, understand and mitigate the risks associated with the issue;
- Conducting trend analysis of safety data; distributing reports (e.g. SPC alerts) to support the monitoring and analysis of trends in hazards;
- Participate the daily review of safety reports for the purpose of determining the scope of investigation and event classification;
- Provide data analysis support for safety investigations, risk reviews and CAP evaluation, as required
- Attending safety conferences and symposiums;
- Maintaining a personal, multi-disciplinary repertoire of concepts and philosophies that may be applied to the role;
- Other duties as assigned.

**What You’ll Need**:
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized university in Science, Engineering, Mathematics (Statistics) or an equivalent level of related education and experience;
- Experience conducting research, analysis, and preparing written reports for management or stakeholders;
- Experience building and maintaining effective partnerships and working collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
- Experience with probability distributions, statistical methods, and data analytics (extraction, analysis, visualization);
- Experience with Flight Data Analysis software and good understanding of flight data parameters would be a strong asset;
- Previous experience in an airline environment would be an asset;
**Environment and Scope**
- Knowledge seeking and able to work independently;
- Deadline oriented work environment;
- Hybrid work, 35 hours per week
- Able to travel domestically and internationally.
