**Environmental Summer Student**

We are currently looking for an **Environmental Summer Student** to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role working from home, the downtown Edmonton office, and performing field work in various conditions throughout Alberta.

**Some things you will be responsible for**:
To be successful as an Environmental Summer Student at Carson Integrated, you will have experience with most of the skills below and be eager to learn and develop the ones you are missing.
- As part of a crew, conduct pre-disturbance site assessments including wetlands assessments, vegetation and ecosite delineation, basic soils surveys, identification of wildlife features, watercourse classification and crossing assessments, noxious weeds surveys, and merchantable timber volume assessments.
- Conduct historical environmental, regulatory, and land use reviews.
- Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate technical reports and plans.
- Must have the ability to travel and perform fieldwork.

**Experience and skill set to thrive as an Environmental Summer Student**:

- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree or technical diploma in Environmental Science, Biological Science, or Environmental Planning
- Experience with regulatory approvals in the oil and gas industry is an asset
- Previous field experience is an asset
- Basic understanding of the federal and provincial legislation and regulatory requirements in Alberta
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Strong communications skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Provide a proactive, solutions-based approach to completion of tasks
