As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our customers. Your duties will include:
- Supervising and leading a team of kitchen staff
- Planning and creating menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques
- Monitoring food quality and presentation
- Collaborating with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications;
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality or food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of bartending is a plus
- Familiarity with restaurant management software is preferred
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper handling procedures
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
