**DURATION OF JUNIOR CAMP PROGRAM**: 6 weeks - June 30 to August 11, 2024

ILSC Education Group is seeking an experienced, qualified, and dynamic leader to take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of our Junior Camp program at ILSC Toronto.

Our Camp programs combine academics, accommodation, and activities for our young students aged 13 to 17, enrolled in our Junior Camp. The Junior Camp Program Manager is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with these separate departments to ensure our students and their families receive a well-organized and enjoyable summer program experience.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Junior Camp Program Manager is expected to create a structured, caring, and supportive environment for our young students enrolled in our Junior Camp, through monitoring their attendance, performance, well-being, and general success within the program. This role requires leadership skills, strong organizational skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a willingness to take initiative and an ability to problem-solve.

This is a key management role and a full-time, fixed-term position. Due to the nature of the work, your hours may vary and may be irregular.

**Work Schedule and Timeline**

The position will begin as a part-time position on March 4, 2024, and compensation will be on an hourly basis at a rate of $22-25/ hour. The Junior Camp Program Manager position will be eligible for a project completion bonus, the details, and conditions of which will be communicated during the hiring process.

The work schedule is as follows:
**Part-Time Hours**

March 4, 2024-April 26, 2024 (6 hours per week)

April 29, 2024-June 3, 2024 (10 hours per week)

August 12, 2024-August 16, 2024 (6 hours per week if required, to be discussed with Director of Junior Programs during last week of program)

**Location**: ILSC Toronto Campus

**Full-Time Hours**

The position will become a full-time salaried position from June 3, 2024-August 11, 2024. Your weekly work schedule will consist of six days of work per week with 1 full day off per week. The weekly salary will be $1050/week.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**

**Staff Recruitment and Training**

March 4- April 1, 2024

April 15-May 13, 2024
- In collaboration with the Activity Coordinator, lead the interviewing and hiring of activity leaders

June 26-June 28, 2024 (on ILSC Toronto campus)
- In collaboration with the Activity Coordinator, plan and lead the pre-camp staff training for Activity leaders

**Planning, Program Inventory and Set Up**

May 13-May 31, 2024-Part-time

June 3-June 28, 2024-Full-time
- Oversee the activity bookings, program budget, and assist the Activity Coordinator in the planning and payment of activity deposits
- Plan the training program for the Junior Camp Activity Leaders
- Create the staffing schedule for the activity leaders
- Schedule and plan a bi-weekly staff night out
- Unpack all program materials and resources and identify and report any missing or damaged materials
- Ensure that the ILSC Toronto campus classrooms and facilities rooms designated for the Junior Camp students, are set up and prepared for the staff and students’ arrival, including signage and staff rosters
- Evaluate camp inventory supplies to determine purchasing needs for summer program

**Program Management**

June 30-August 11, 2024

**Administration**
- Ensure that all ILSC Juniors Program rules, procedures and directives are understood and adhered to by both students and staff
- Maintain accurate financial accounting records for the program, monitoring expenditures to ensure expenses are within budget, ensuring student-teacher ratios are respected (18:1), tracking leisure costs, managing petty cash, and itemizing expenditures at the end of the program
- Liaise with ILSC Toronto campus staff for use of additional facilities, following approval from Director of Junior Programs, Canada

**Staff**
- Plan and lead the pre-program staff orientation with the support of the Activity Coordinator, ensuring that all team members have a clear understanding of the Junior Camp summer program, their roles, and responsibilities, and that all staffing schedules have been clearly outlined and shared with staff
- Conduct daily staff meetings; carry out mid-summer and end of summer performance evaluations, reporting any concerns or issues to the Director of Junior Programs.
