Utility Pole Inspector

Under Pressure Inc. is excited to announce that on account of our rapid growth, we are now hiring four experienced Field Utility Locators. You would be joining a highly motivated team to help deliver a multitude of services to our local communities.
- Follow all Safety protocols and practices established by company safety policies.
- Possess a working knowledge of OSHA requirements to the induvial job responsibilities.
- Responsible to maintain a safe and healthful place of work.
- Personal protective equipment must be used when and where required, and properly maintained.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Responsible for the quality of your individual work.
- Develop a working knowledge of the electrical utility construction standards, utility pole attachment standards
- Perform visual inspections of utility poles.
- Identify the overhead electrical components of distribution structures.
- Identify overhead communication components and attachments.
- Collect and record data on all overhead electrical and communication components: type, size, height, owner, etc.
- Perform data collection utilizing approved collection materials to include laptop, iPad, gps, range finder, measuring sticks, and other electronic devices as necessary.
- Operate necessary equipment to take measurements on utility poles
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum one year of experience working as an asset inspector or in a similar position working with visual inspections, data entry, rotten poll testing using IML Drill, and GIS systems
- Experience working extended periods of time under exposed conditions outdoors.
- The ability to undertake the physical aspects of this role, such as lifting equipment (up to 20lbs)
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
- The ability to work independently of direct supervision while maintaining good time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills to aid in good team dynamics
- Effective communication skills
Working knowledge of power and or communication industry is preferred
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
