**Position Summary**:
Type: Full Time

Position: Lowbed Operator - Class 1

Location: Fort McKay - Incubator Park

Schedule: Flexible - Based on client needs (44 hours per week - Overtime available but not guaranteed)

**Compensation Details**:

- Vacation pay at 6% - paid out bi-weekly upon start date

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Operate all assigned equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Pick-up and deliver equipment (dozers, excavators, rock trucks, graders, class 8 trucks, etc.) to and from plant sites surrounding Fort McKay and Fort McMurray
- Read, countersign and enter comments into daily operator log book
- Complete and document a pre‐operational check on assigned equipment
- Grease equipment as necessary
- Ensure all equipment has proper safety equipment in place
- Keep interior clean
- Any required repairs to assigned equipment are communicated to maintenance personnel
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with customers and other employees
- Participate in Job Hazard Assessment’s, Feld Level Risk Assessment’s and line‐up meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
- Assist in and around shop and yard when no deliveries required
- Ability to be available evenings and weekends if required based on client needs

**Education & Experience**:

- 2-5 years heavy equipment hauling is mandatory
- Must have a Valid Class 1 with clean 5 year driver’s abstract
- Knowledge of weights, highway restrictions and permit requirements
- Operate all types of heavy equipment for load/unload independently
- Be able to be orientated for all sites we work on
- Experience with lowbed, jeep, scissor neck trailers
- Ability to lift and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather
- Ability to work shift work
- Safety conscious attitude
- CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019) - will be required upon hire/before coming to site
- Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol and a Fit for Duty test
- Applicants must have the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English
