**Heavy Civil Construction Foreman**

**Job Brief**

We are looking for a full-time Foreman experienced in heavy civil construction to coordinate operations and oversee workers at our construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project.

As a Working Foreman, you will have a solid background working in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and a team player. You will be responsible for all aspects of construction management on worksites, including planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and schedule tasks according to priorities and plans
- Plan for materials and supplies
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities for crew
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
- Ability to work alongside workers when necessary
- Complete administrative duties onsite including timesheets, deliveries, daily log, and any other documentation as required

**Requirements**:

- College degree in Construction technology preferred
- Minimum 15 years experience
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and equipment
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Problem solving abilities
- Extensive field supervision experience
- Strong knowledge of scheduling and planning (2 week “look ahead”)plan for manpower, material and equipment
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with the project team
- Proven ability to take initiative and confirm the accuracy of information that is sent and received
- Valid driver’s license

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
