**You as a ‘Sustainability Project Manager’ will**:

- Review contract documents, identify project sustainability-related risks, identify specific requirements, interpret the corresponding scope, work with teams to mitigate risks and escalate issues as required.
- Support the project team directly or through managing external consultants to ensure delivery of sustainability requirements, which may include certification under various sustainability rating systems, climate risk and resiliency, operational energy and carbon, embodied carbon, and construction related site emissions.
- Provide project start-up orientation to project teams, rolling out management systems and provide ongoing technical review, support, and training for sustainable certification programs.
- Oversee the work of Sustainability Assistant Project Managers and/or Sustainability Coordinators and on-site project teams with project related Sustainability matters
- Report on project status, action items, and critical milestones during the development, construction and occupancy phases.
- Explore business development opportunities through attending networking events, conferences.
- Represent EllisDon at industry events
- Contribute to other sustainability initiatives and industry research

**Is this the right role for you?**
- You have a post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture or design/construction related discipline and five years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a Project Manager role in Institutional or Commercial construction
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in sustainability including facilitating the LEED® process, and implementing sustainability into the built environment during various phases of design, construction, and building operation.
- You have an in-depth understanding of sustainability, the LEED® rating system and the corresponding impacts to design and construction, as well as a working understanding of other sustainability metrics and frameworks (eg: Toronto Green Standard, WELL, Envision, ZeroCarbon, Embodied Carbon, etc.).
- You have a valid driver’s license (the role will involve site visitation) along with the ability to travel to other cities throughout Canada based on project portfolio. Work requires very light physical exertion, limited visual and/or auditory concentration, manual dexterity and/or strain.
- You have the ability to define project scope, goals and deliverables, and to identify and manage project related risks
- You have the ability to lead the sustainability scope of work on multiple projects at different stages of the project life cycle and to communicate sustainability requirements effectively to various disciplines
