As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll be dedicated to help solving the industry's most challenging problems and helping to differentiate CAE from the rest as the world's leading training provider.

We are currently looking for flight simulator performance system specialists. The performance systems teams mainly focus on the areas of aerodynamics, flight controls, propulsion systems and autopilot. The many opportunities and challenges in this group range from architecture to design, development, integration, testing, and validation and comparison of flight simulation models with actual aircraft behavior.

This position is for aerodynamics, and requires knowledge of aerodynamic theory and fluid flow, and includes the simulation of a vehicle’s forces and moments, considering its environment, ground interaction, propulsion, and flight control commands.

The required skills for this position are:

- ** Education**
- Baccalaureate in Mechanical Engineering or Aerodynamics engineer (preferred)
- Also Preferred:

- Minor in Computer Science
- Masters in Aerospace (1. Thesis or 2. Project, specializing in CFD, Flight Dynamics, Aircraft Performance, or Stability & Control)
- Ph.D. in Aerospace
- ** Soft Skills**

- Troubleshooting & problem solving: thinks fast on their feet
- Team player
- Dedicated to accomplishing the task
- Excellent communication skills (Oral and written) and reporting to supervisors

- Knowledge of aircraft simulations and modelling physical systems
- Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics, flight dynamics, aircraft performance, stability & control
- Knowledge of automatic control systems (nice to have)
- Knowledge in integration of software
- Knowledge of automated system testing (FitNesse, Google Mock)
- Knowledge of system requirements analysis
- Knowledge of flight testing and analysis of data
- Knowledge of qualification process of simulators
