**Some of what you will do**

The role represents a critical function in overseeing and managing Staples 3rd party fulfillment and import operations. The Supply Chain, Logistics Manager must ensure that operations are being performed within agreed upon turnaround times and costs. The role will also be the main point of contact to ensure that stores and digital fulfillment centres are stocked properly. This role will be focused on optimizing product flow originating from our 3rd party facilities across the organization, always looking for ways to optimize and improve the associated processes.

**Specifically, You Will**
- Lead 3rd party logistics analyses to support strategic decisions (e.g. comparison of freight costs by carrier mode, forecast monthly storage capacity for a warehouse, demand forecasting for 3rd party vendors, etc.)
- Manage team to support best practices in owned and operated facilities as well as any 3rd party vendors/suppliers
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, and transportation
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, retailers, internal customers and consumers
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Assist in arranging warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Track existing metrics to detect & reduce defects
- Establish corrective actions for underperforming metrics to ensure performance standards are met
- Independently engage all levels of the organization to remove waste from operations processes including employing Lean/Six Sigma practices across the Network
- Other duties as considered necessary

**Some of what you need**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work independently and adapt to change
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels
- Knowledge of commercial evaluation metrics
- 7-10 years’ experience in a related field
- Demonstrated success in working within cross functional teams and effective project management and analytical/decision making skills
- BS/BA degree or equivalent (MBA an asset)
- CITT or APICS an asset

**Additional information**
- Hybrid work environment - both onsite and offsite
- Travel required, 10% within Canada
