Lions Foundation Canada Dog empowers Canadians living with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing a Dog Guide at no cost and supporting them in their journey together. LFCDG is the only school to train Dog Guides in seven distinct programs and serves 150-200 clients annually while supporting over 1100 active clients across Canada. LFCDG operates out of Oakville,

ON, with a breeding and training facility in Breslau, ON, with plans for a new leading-edge facility in late

2024.

Reporting to the Director of Resource Development, the job description is as followed:
**Key** **Duties** **and** **Responsibilities**:

- Recruit and onboard volunteers for various roles within the organization
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, including an ongoing schedule
- Provide ongoing support, guidance and recognition to volunteers, fostering a positive and fulfilling volunteer experience
- Conduct regular volunteer orientations and workshops to ensure volunteers are informed and equipped for their responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing their concerns and providing ongoing communication
- Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and ensure seamless integration of volunteers into organization activities
- Prepare regular reports on volunteer activities, including volunteer hours, impact and success stories
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gift shop, ensuring it is well-stocked, organized and visually appealing
- Source and select a diverse range of merchandise for the gift shop, including products aligned with our organization’s mission
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Develop and manage an online store including shipping product nation wide
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and financial transactions related to the gift shop
- Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to promote the gift shop and its product through various channels
- Assist with various events where gift shop items are available for purchase
- Works closely with fundraising and accounting staff in performing and coordinating work associated with various fundraising functions
- Provides support to other members of the fundraising team as required and requested including occasionally attending events and awareness opportunities
- Participates in team meetings

Monitors, updates and recommends improvements to all administrative processes to ensure and gain efficiencies

- Previous experience in volunteer management, preferably within a non-profit or community based organization
- Passionate about the mission and values of LFCDG
- Experience in retail operations, inventory management, or gift shop coordination
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse individuals and groups
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as required
- Excellent communication skills (including writing, speaking, and presentations)
- Ability to develop and manage a program budget
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to work in a results-orientated environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong computer skills related to Microsoft Office Suite, experience with CRM database (Salesforce) an asset

**Job** **Type**: Full-Time Monday-Friday

**Salary**:$45,000 - $50,000

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
