**Job Summary**
**Duties**:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
- Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items that align with seasonal offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Package baked goods for display or customer orders while ensuring freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests regarding dessert options and taking special requests when applicable.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food preparation, and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with cake decorating techniques and an eye for detail in presentation.
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to foster collaboration within the kitchen staff.
- A passion for creating high-quality desserts that enhance the dining experience for customers.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2-3 months
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
