Machinist

Job Description: As a machinist at Plasmionique’s R&D group, you will play a crucial role in the production process of components and samples for our state-of-the-art products. Your responsibilities will encompass operating and maintaining various machining equipment, such as lathes and milling machines, to fabricate precision components. Working closely with our engineering team and head machinist, you will interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure the accurate fabrication of parts. Quality control inspections and adherence to rigorous standards will be integral to your role, ensuring that our products maintain the highest level of performance and reliability.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines, to fabricate various precision components.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, materials, and machining processes for each job.
- Monitor machine operations to maintain precision and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections to verify component accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to address technical issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

- **Canadian Residency or Work Permit is a per-requisite for this job**.
- DEP or DEC in Machining Techniques or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in operating various machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines.
- Strong knowledge of interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with cutting tools, materials, and machining processes.
- Detail oriented and team player
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software is an asset.

Language Requirements:

- Fluent in French and/or English (spoken).

Salary : 40,000 to 60,000 / year based on experience
