**Please note that this is a 13 month position. **Starting in July 2023 until August 30, 2024

**Your role**

We are looking for an Analyst - assigned as an Associate Business Manager - to join the CBC Sports team. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, this position will be to provide support to the Business & Production Management Team. This position will play a key role providing financial reporting and analysis, month end close support, budgets & forecasts, travel planning, scheduling, contracting and paying employees.

Main Responsibilities:

- Monitor actual costs against budget and track commitments, combined with the Business and Unit Production Manager.
- Assists in authorizing spending of production costs, creating files and reports for monthly accruals and expense reconciliation.
- Assists in creating and analyzing expense reports and ensures compliance and recommends efficiencies.
- Assists in developing monthly forecasts and year-end financial projections based on current spending.
- Advises program producers on spending related to program budgets and provides recommendations on cost efficiencies.
- Assists the crew for Sport’s Productions, authorizes travel claims and ensures they comply with policy and program requirements.
- Prepare and research cost efficiency initiatives in conjunction with the Production and Business Manager.
- Creates contracts and prepare payments to freelancers.
- Prepares documentation to hire per occasion employees.
- Proposes, implements and maintains business processes with the scope of the above duties.
- Coordinates many activities related to production, including travel, transportation, craft services and catering.
- A university or college degree/diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Professional accounting designation (or currently working towards) such as CPA, CMA or CPA, CGA is an asset
- Two years of related experience.
- Ability to use Financial systems (general ledger, resource planning).
- Experience with SAP and LIVELINK would be considered an asset.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing working environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and the ability to work flexible hours, as required.
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to deal with a wide variety of people with tact and diplomacy.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
