Piedmont Sheet Metal is hiring We are a family owned and operated sheet metal fabrication company in South Burnaby and we require a cheerful self-starter who works well with mínimal supervision to run our front office and help us manage our growing enterprise. Starting salary is competitive and will be reviewed upon completion of a successful 3 months (probationary period) and further increases will be based on performance. Extended medical coverage (or payout in lieu) after 3 months, and the option to participate in our RRSP matching plan. We also offer 5 paid personal days per year.

**Duties include**:
Processing payroll bi-weekly for 50+ hourly employees using in-house payroll software (Quickbooks)

Monthly government reporting and remittances (GST, payroll, etc.)

Keeping offices organized and well stocked with supplies

Processing AP in a timely manner and maintaining vendor accounts

Filing and maintaining of records in an organized manner

Creating weekly/monthly internal financial reports and other ad-hoc reporting as needed

Processing monthly progress draws and reconciling customer accounts, following up on overdue invoices (soft collections)

Conduct online/in person banking transactions when required

Bank and credit card statement reconciliations

Maintain HR records

Assistance with year-end working papers

Other related administrative duties as needed

**Requirements**:
Strong attention to detail, efficient, accurate and consistent

Ability to take initiative and work independently or as a team

An accounting/business certificate/diploma is an asset for this position

Previous bookkeeping/payroll/administrative experience
Comfortable with intermediate MS Office Suite functions, and experience with at least one bookkeeping software program (QuickBooks preferred)
Demonstrates high level of organizational skills and attention to detail

Clear, fluent written and spoken English, at ease communicating with different groups of people

Good time management, aptitude for improving systems and processes

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year
