**Can You Navigate Logistics and Chart Success?**
As a Shipment Planner & Dispatch Support you are an integral link between our Dealer Support Centre and our stores. You will plan the daily outbound shipments to maximize efficiency and provide high level of service to Dealers in a cost-effective way. Led by the Supervisor, Dispatch, this opportunity will suit someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and who enjoys working with logistics and coordinating schedules.
**Shift available**:
**Afternoons: Sunday - Thursday, 11:30am - 8:00pm**
**Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how**:
- Utilize the default schedules and create or adjust route combinations, as needed, using the shipment planning tool in HH1 Oracle.
- Evaluate store orders to ensure Dealers have met their order deadlines and to identify order inaccuracies (i.e., late orders, unusual quantities); follow-up with Dealers accordingly and adjust as needed.
- Using the Warehouse Management System, create distribution orders (including e-commerce) to allow replenishment, picking, and loading tasks for the day.
- Collaborate with the Shipping and Dispatch departments to plan the daily routes and create shipments based on available equipment.
- Update transportation systems, updating routes and arrival times for dealer visibility.
- Assemble transportation KPI’s using system tools, collaborate with other regions to optimize system data.
- Provide dispatch support to assign loads, pickups, dealer inquires, driver and vendor inquires, and administrative tasks.
- Provide vacation relief for department roles as required. Other tasks as required.
**We’re looking for**:
- College Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, HH1 Oracle, Samsara and Manhattan, with ability to learn and navigate new systems quickly.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Possess analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and make sound decisions, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and react to changing situations in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of Home Hardware’s systems and processes a definite asset.
- Occasional overtime required based on business needs.
