As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Technology Education Manager to join our team and educate our salespeople and clients on the technical aspects of our smart thermostat technology. The Technology Trainer will also be responsible for managing the technical writing content needs of our growing product line.
**Job Overview**:
As a Technology Education Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to our sales teams and clients, enabling them to effectively understand, promote, and support our smart thermostat products. Your expertise in our technology will be instrumental in providing in-depth technical training, ensuring our teams and clients have a solid understanding of the product's features, functionalities, installation procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and integration capabilities. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall knowledge and competence of our sales force and clients, ultimately driving sales and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that enables our customers to understand and effectively utilize our products. Your strong grasp in technical writing and learned knowledge of our smart thermostat systems will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our manuals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver training programs on our smart thermostat technology to both internal sales teams and external clients.
- Design and deliver engaging training materials, including presentations, product demonstrations, training manuals, and interactive online resources.
- Conduct interactive training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to effectively educate participants on product features, functionality, installation procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and integration options.
- Assess the training needs of different audiences and tailor training programs accordingly, considering the varying levels of technical knowledge and expertise.
- Collaborate closely with the product development team to stay up-to-date on product enhancements, new releases, and technical specifications.
- Continuously update and improve training materials and content based on user feedback, industry trends, and product updates.
- Provide ongoing support to sales teams and clients by answering technical inquiries, resolving product-related issues, and offering guidance on product positioning and effective selling strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to align training initiatives with business goals and ensure consistent messaging.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies related to smart thermostats and home automation
- Maintain comprehensive technical manuals, user guides, installation instructions, troubleshooting guides, and other related documentation for both print and digital formats.
- Review, edit, and proofread existing documents to improve readability, grammar, and overall quality.
- Standardize and enforce style guidelines, ensuring consistency and adherence to company standards. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from users to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of the manuals.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor's degree in Technical Field
- Proven experience as a Product Trainer, Technical Trainer, or similar role, preferably in the technology industry
- Strong knowledge in Technical Writing and/or producing technical manuals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
- Fluent in English (This role supports a U.S. - based team) Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future

**PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Familiarity with HVAC technology a definite asset Madcap or Paligo software knowledge is an asset
