Ebenezer Baptist Church (EBC) in Saskatoon, SK is currently seeking two dynamic, relational, visionary and godly full-time Co-Lead leaders to guide our church forward in the next season.

Our mission is to point people to Jesus and help them know and follow Him. We are a community-minded, outreach focused and forward-thinking church that actively seeks the Lord in prayer for spiritual discernment and ministry direction. We place a high value on family and on team ministry.

**Qualifications**
- Personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Proven church leadership skills within a dynamic team context.
- Character qualities of a Biblical Elder as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9.
- Love for the Word of God and a devotion to prayer.
- Proven ability to cast and execute a vision in the church at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in sharing the good news of Jesus and bearing spiritual fruit.
- Demonstrated spiritual aptitude in hearing and following God’s voice, including nurturing/guiding pastoral staff, staff members and congregation members.
- Collaborative team player with a servant heart.
- Demonstrated ability to affect change in positive and sustainable ways within a church context.
- Bible School or Seminary training (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Is in agreement with the statement of faith shared by Ebenezer Baptist and the Baptist General Conference of Canada’s (BGCC).

Working together, the two co-lead pastors shall carry the vision and direction of EBC.

**EBC’s Vision**:

- “Our vision is to establish and multiply multi-ethnic and multi-generational gatherings of Jesus followers who practically and authentically live their faith in every part of their lives and challenge others to do the same.”_

**Together, the two co-lead pastors shall be responsible for**:

- ** Co-leadership**
- Working collaboratively to lead the setting of the overall vision and direction for the church, including development and maintenance of a strategic plan to move toward fulfilment of the vision.
- Embracing a co-leadership model and be willing to discern in all aspects of vision/direction together.
- Developing systems for working together and defining specific areas of responsibility, ensuring individual strengths are effectively used and areas of responsibility are sustainable.
- Resolving any issues/conflicts that may emerge between respective areas of responsibility.
- ** Teaching**
- Preaching and ensuring clear plans are created for Sunday morning sermon series congruent with the vision/direction of the church.
- Seeking to hear God’s voice consistently as a core part of this process and appreciation of the link between teaching and vision setting/direction.
- Ensuring leadership, mentoring and coaching are provided to the teaching team.
- ** Equipping**
- Fostering and nurturing a dynamic and growing Life Group ministry and its leaders.
- Ensuring support, oversight and direction are provided to various ministries within the church such as Alpha, grief and marriage ministries, etc.
- ** Care**
- Ensuring care is provided to congregants in things such as visitation, counselling and significant events (baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc.).
- ** Multi-generational**
- Overseeing and ensuring mentorship and guidance are provided to leadership teams with respect to our multi-generational ministries - children’s, youth, college and career, seniors.
- Being instrumental in engaging and leading the leaders of these ministry areas.
- ** Multi-ethnic, Partner Congregations and Missions**
- Providing governance, oversight, mentoring and direction to EBC’s multi-ethnic communities and specifically as it relates to EBC’s existing partner congregations.
- Help develop, implement and raise awareness of local, national and global missions opportunities, including BGC missions and potentially other mission agencies.
- ** Executive**
- Ensuring all business functions of the church are in compliance with existing policies and manage all business responsibilities, as required.
- Managing all aspects of an approved budget process and its implementation and management.
- Managing human resources effectively.
- Understanding all internal and board policies and ensure regular review and compliance with those policies.
- Supporting staff in maximizing their respective ministry outcomes.
- ** Governance/Fiduciary**
- Leading within the context of a policy governance board structure where the board establishes the _Ends_ and the co-lead pastors are responsible for the _Means_.
- Attending all board meetings and providing written reports as required.
- Ensure all business and financial requirements are in compliance with policy as required by the board.
