We are currently seeking an experienced **Meat Cutter Supervisor** (non retail) to join our Fresh Meat Department.
**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Review and follow daily production schedules to ensure production quantities are met in an efficient and timely manner.
- Operate various types of industrial equipment such as; band saw, dicer, mixer, meat grinder, and sausage making equipment.
- Debone, trim, prepare, and meat cuts and sausages.
- Follow all operating instructions and recipes according to product requirements.
- Accurately record and complete daily production reports.
- Enforce all sanitation and safe work practices.
- Calculate proper amounts of ingredients and raw materials.
- Complete end of day production paperwork.
- Assist in month-end inventory counts if required.
**Qualifications**
- Vocational or technical training with minimum 1 year in industry related experience, preferably in an industrial or wholesale setting.
- Proficient knife skills with experience in deboning, trimming, and preparing cuts of meat.
- Must be proficient in mathematics in order to accurately calculate amounts of ingredients and raw materials.
- Good knowledge and understanding of computers/math skills is required to ensure correct information is selected on scales and equipment.
- Ability to memorize specifications of meat cuts and raw materials while adapting to changing consumer and legislated requirements.
**Other Information**
- Physically demanding, must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be comfortable working in cool environments (freezers, chill rooms etc.)
- Steel toed footwear is required for this position.
- Shift: 6:30AM - 3:00PM
**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
