The Adult and Youth Enrichment Center provides services to vulnerable individuals, ranging from ages 9 years old-50+ with developmental, cognitive, physical, mental health and addictions struggles. We have day programs, residential services and respite services. We are currently looking for an experienced in house Bookkeeper to provide the following services:
Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintaining financial records, posting transactions, ensuring compliance of all legal requirements
- Balance subsidiary accounts and reconciliation
- Preparing financial reports
- Compliance with all federal, provincial and local legal requirements
- Filing reports, advising management regarding needed actions
- Developing an employee database, historical records, payroll
- Preparing invoices, remitting payments, keeping accurate financial records
Specific Responsibilities & Duties
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Payroll
- Purchasing and receiving
- Assist with other financial duties and projects, as required
**Education**:
- Accounting Diploma
Skills/Experience
- Completion of Accounting Diploma
- Minimum 2+ years experience with bookkeeping/accounting
- Extremely organized, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks with attention to detail
- Administration and data entry, maintain an effective and efficient file retrieval system
- The ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines
- The ability to communicate complex financial data with other members
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Excel
- Positive attitude and company focused
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and must be able to multi-task
- Self-starter and team player, able to work independently and collaboratively with others
Specific Experience
- Bookkeeping: 2 year (preferred)
- Payroll: 2 year (preferred)
- Invoicing: 2 year (preferred)
Work Location:

Rate of Pay:
- $24-$30 per hour
Hours Per Week:
- 32-40 hours per week
**Salary**: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Greater Sudbury, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
