**We are currently looking for a **Warehouse Supervisor **at our Parts Distribution Centre in Vancouver, BC**
- The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects and functions of the inbound and outbound departments of the Vancouver PDC and be the active deputy to the PDC Manager when they are absent from facility.

The incumbent must validate the completion of all inbound and outbound deliveries, provide leadership to all Warehouse employees for both inbound and outbound processes & ensure that the Parts Distribution Centre performs effectively and efficiently and maintain the highest level of customer service to our Dealers. They will also oversee all relevant processes as they relate to the timely and accurate delivery of OE replacement parts to Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. Dealers.

**This is position is fully on-site**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Review existing SOP's to ensure they are being followed
- Develop action plans to correct deviations pertaining to warehouse KPI’s
- Lead and coach employees to perform to the best of their abilities to ensure that corporate objectives are communicated and known

**Provide support and direction in the Shipping Department (Outbound)**
- Plan, lead, and direct all phases of the shipping process, which include picking, sorting, packaging and shipping
- Directs the activities of all employees assigned to the Shipping to ensure a smooth flow of the daily objectives in accordance with the shipping schedules
- Responsible to ensure outbound orders are invoiced
- Liaise between dealers and carriers to resolve all conflicts that may arise from freight loss or damage claims

**Provide support and direction in the Receiving Department (Inbound)**
- Plan, lead and direct all phases of the receiving process, which include unloading trucks, sortation, and receipting of all inbound freight.
- The position will also collaborate with our inbound carriers and vendors to ensure a timely unload of freight
- Arrange and conduct disposal of hazardous waste materials according to the environmental regulations
- Monitor dealer cores, buybacks, and thirty/sixty-day returns for compliance with depot return policies and procedures
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area for all employees; ensure all PDC procedures are followed
- Meet known requirements for first aid training, CPR training and Evacuation planning.
- Publication of safety guidelines, compliance to quarterly safety audits, Hazardous materials certification and compliance.
- Host and participate in the Joint Safety Team Committee as needed on a monthly basis.

**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma (Operations Management) or equivalent relevant work experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience at a PDC or similar Distribution Centre
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Sound decision-making skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to teach or train others
- Self-motivated, positive, flexible, team player
- Ability to lead a team and think out of the box

**Desired Skills**:

- Knowledge of dealer terms of trade policies and procedures
- Formal OH&S Act, Work Safe BC knowledge
- French or German
- Knowledge of PDC practices and procedures
- Understanding of industry standard parts systems and operations
- Experience in coaching or training: Facility Equipment, Facility Safety, HazMat, Health and Safety, and WHMIS
- Certified for Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies
- ISO, QS or VDA Quality Systems
- Working knowledge of ET-2000 or related SAP system
- Knowledge of Dealer Parts Operations

The salary range for this position is $70K - $80K annually. Salary is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
