**Current Opening**:
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our cohesive team of clinicians and staff in our busy Nanaimo office. Applicants must be able to demonstrate professionalism and integrity in the workplace as well as possess the following attributes:
**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years formal education in accounting or bookkeeping (Diploma or Degree)
- At least 2 years’ experience in private sector bookkeeping
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Quickbooks Online and able to learn new software efficiently
- Confidence in a Windows PC environment and strong Microsoft Office skills including Word & Excel
- A desire to learn and develop and help shape a growing organization with multiple offices

**Additional Assets**:

- Experience with clinic management software and/or experience bookkeeping in a clinical setting

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Payroll and remittance
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts reconciliation
- Inventory reconciliation
- Oversee daily transactions
- Prepare unaudited financial statements
- Provide external accountants with information required for fiscal year end review engagement
- Review and maintain external contracts and liaise with business partners
- Create and implement new practices and adopt new software to manage growth

**Position Details**:

- Full time hours, Monday to Friday
