**Location**:

- Midland/Penetanguishene/Tiny/Simcoe County (1 Opening Available)

**Maintenance /Repairs**:

- Perform regular inspections, diagnostic tests, troubleshooting and repairs
- Lubricate and perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks, plants, and heavy equipment
- Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts
- Ensure fluid levels are topped up for mixer trucks, plant, and heavy equipment
- Perform roadside repairs for emergency breakdowns
- Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions
- Review operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Diagnose, install, and perform repair and maintenance on conveyors, silos, storage bins, bushings, valves and piping, and other equipment as needed.
- Install and replace bearings, speed reducers, shafts, pulleys, idlers, motors, couplings, etc.
- Repair conveyor belts, feeders, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain a functional shop, equipped with the necessary stock parts to keep equipment running
- Maintain a maintenance schedule of maintenance work done and repairs carried out for the plant, trucks, and heavy equipment.

**Loading**:

- Transfer material from stockpiles to feed concrete plant using a front-end wheel loader
- Unload/Load precast concrete Blocks
- Ensure that returned concrete is poured into block moulds and that block making area is keep clean.
- Ensure block moulds are stripped and reset each morning.
- Ensure bins are full at the end of the day with right material

**Other**:

- Perform plant/yard duties as assigned by dispatcher/batcher/plant manager to assist in the efficient operation of the plant
- Perform concrete testing
- Maintain site cleanliness and perform general labour activities to keep the plant “tour ready”

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a mechanical/maintenance focused role at an heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, motors, and air brake systems
- Knowledge of related maintenance and repair practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Able to operate heavy equipment
- Able to work at heights
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and complete tasks with little or not supervision
- Collaborative, team orientated, and willing to help out others
- Solid attendance and punctuality
- Be flexible to work overtime, weekends, long-days, short days, and different shifts as required
- Satisfactory Background Check
- Maintain an emphasis on safety by adhering to all health & safety precautions and rules specified by federal, provincial, and company rules

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $29.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
