Forged Drilling is seeking to hire a VP People, based out of Regina, for a newly created role driven by growth and the desire to support out great culture and team, to provide People leadership as we grow and expand across North America.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a People (Human Resources) strategy that enhances employee engagement, supports a high-performance culture, and supports Forged Drilling’s strategic plan. In this role, you will ensure the effective day-to-day delivery of People programs and services to operations across North America. Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, recruitment and retention, performance and succession planning, employee and labour relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and policy development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create and implement a People strategy to support the Company’s short and long-term vision
- Participate as a member of the Leadership Committee to develop People objectives and processes to drive business performance
- Provide management and delivery of People programs across Canada
- Ensure compliance with human resource-related legislation including employment standards, Human Rights and OH&S requirements
- Evaluate and administer a compensation program that ensures consistency and competitiveness while supporting career growth opportunities
- Manage and administer benefit and retirement programs and healthy multi-location work culture
- Establish an effective performance management program to provide helpful employee feedback, drive business results, align with Forged objectives, and support employee career goals
- Manage recruiting initiatives and onboarding, as well as develop an employee value proposition and build out the Company brand to facilitate the attraction and retention of employees
- Review and update existing polices, programs, and processes to ensure competitiveness and alignment with overall growth plans
- Develop and implement consistent People processes and practices across Forged
- Present regular reporting on People initiatives and metrics

**Qualifications**:

- Post Secondary degree in business or a related discipline with 15 or more years of progressive human resource experience
- CPHR an asset
- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to build and carry out operations for a growing team
- Experience as both a human resource architect and builder - you’ve created a vision for human resource functions and turned that vision into reality
- Strong executive presence with excellent decision-making skills and the ability to influence and motivate others
- Advanced working knowledge of human resource-related legislation
- Proven track record of developing and implementing policies and programs to support organizational growth
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the key financial and human resource drivers that impact business results
- Ability to build trust and foster a culture of service and operational excellence
- Strong consultative style with experience coaching and supporting business leaders
- Experience in a multi-jurisdictional work environment, including previous support of Canadian and US operations, is an asset
