Deli Clerk

*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience, from assisting with their orders to maintaining a clean and organized workspace. *Responsibilities* - Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, in accordance with food safety standards. - Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain the highest levels of food safety and sanitation. - Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing recommendations to enhance their dining experience. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment. - Utilize basic math skills for weighing and pricing deli items accurately. - Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance customer satisfaction. - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during peak hours while managing time effectively. *Skills* - Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required. - Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. - Basic math skills for accurate pricing and portioning of deli items. - Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
