**About the Role**

We are seeking a motivated and curious AI Ethicist Intern to join our team. As the AI Ethicist Intern, your primary responsibility will be to research AI ethics in software development best practices while assisting in coordinating board operations for our AI Ethics Oversight board. This internship provides an opportunity to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and ethics in healthcare technology.

**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate ethical implications of AI algorithms, decision-making processes, and data usage within our software solutions
- Assist in coordinating meetings and operations for the AI Ethics Oversight board, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and documentation
- Support the development of policies, guidelines, and training materials related to AI ethics for internal stakeholders
- Stay informed about regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and evolving ethical guidelines relevant to AI in healthcare
- Contribute insights to ensure that our AI technologies align with ethical principles and societal values

**Required Qualifications**:

- Graduate of/or currently enrolled in a Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's program in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong interest in AI ethics, responsible AI, and the societal impacts of technology
- Excellent research skills, with the ability to critically evaluate scholarly articles, white papers, and regulatory documents
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, manage schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ethical concepts to diverse audiences
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

**Experience with the following is an asset**:

- Medical ethics
- Software Development Life Cycle
- Artificial Intelligence
