Principales responsabilités

Façonnement de l’architecture de solutions - 60 %
- Assurer le processus de création, d’étendue, de planification, de consignation et d’estimation pour les travaux nécessaires à la prestation de l’architecture de solutions
- Participer activement à l’évaluation de demande de renseignements et de demande de propositions pour une sélection de produits et faire des recommandations
- Déterminer les composants d’architecture et les intégrations de solutions complexes selon les exigences commerciales et les cas d’utilisation
- Travailler avec des architectes de systèmes, de technologies, de télécommunications et de sécurité pour définir et documenter une architecture de solutions de bout en bout qui tire parti des plateformes technologiques disponibles
- Collaborer avec ses pairs et les concepteurs ou conceptrices pour s’assurer que la solution proposée est réalisée conformément aux exigences d’architecture
- Supprimer les entraves et donner des conseils lorsque des solutions tactiques sont nécessaires pour l’obtention de résultats d’affaires

- Collaborer avec ses pairs afin d’améliorer les processus et les livrables de l’architecture à l’aide de technologies courantes
- Participer à l’évaluation annuelle de la santé des produits
- Gérer une feuille de route d’architecture de solutions selon l’orientation stratégique de l’Architecture d’entreprise et du service

Leadership technique - 15 %
- Chapeauter les communications et diriger le processus d’intervention hiérarchique et de résolution auprès des intervenants***
- Assurer le perfectionnement technique des membres du personnel (p. ex., spécialisation ou élargissement des connaissances pour devenir un ou une architecte de solution)

***Dans le cadre des projets et des programmes, la personne titulaire du poste est responsable d’assurer l’équilibre entre les risques, les répercussions et les avantages pour le meilleur investissement du CN et de veiller à ce que tous les faits soient présentés pour que des décisions puissent être prises et pour que les solutions soient approuvées. Cette personne chapeaute les décisions avec tous les intervenants de l’I et T en exposant tous les aspects de la décision après une analyse approfondie, par exemple en présentant les risques, les conséquences et les avantages.

Voici le type de décisions dont il est notamment question:

- La manière dont les besoins de l’entreprise doivent être soutenus : le personnel, les processus ou la technologie
- Le choix entre la réutilisation de la technologie existante, l’achat d’une nouvelle technologie ou la création d’une technologie
- La source de l’information et le niveau de direction requis
- Les répercussions mínimales pour le groupe de la TI et le CTP
- L’approbation de solutions dont les risques et les répercussions sont faibles ou moyens conformément à la délégation de pouvoir de l’architecture
- Les répercussions sur la capacité globale de l’Architecture de solutions du CN à assurer la prestation d’une solution dans le cadre d’un projet ou d’un programme
- Les décisions de l’expert ou de l’experte permettent au CN de faire les bons choix d’investissements pour le déploiement des capacités de l’entreprise au moyen de la TI. La prise d’une mauvaise décision pourrait entraîner un investissement inadéquat, des dépenses inutiles ou des dettes techniques
