Service Technician

Whether their office is large, small, or located at home, we help them create a functional and engaging office space where everyone is inspired to do great work.
The Service Technician is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Experience with hand tools, trouble shooting and being resourceful would be beneficial in this role.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Visit client sites throughout a designated area where office furniture has been previously delivered.
- Install/repair and damaged or malfunctioning products.
- Inspect and troubleshoot furniture for problems and defects.
- Deliver and install components that have been back-ordered.
- Process T503 returns from Delivery/Install companies and repackage if necessary.
- Maintain all shop tools, materials, and service vehicles to remain in safe operating conditions.
- Assemble / Disassemble products for customers.
- Comply with safety regulations and always maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Support showroom operations in all Ontario locations by building/replacing displays and clearance sections with minor maintenance duties.
- When necessary, support the warehouse team with forklift operation, preparing and wrapping pallets, general material handling, and warehouse admin functions.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid Full G driver's license with a good driving history in the abstract
- Good experience on a 5-ton truck is an asset.
- Willing to work with a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrates a willingness to work with a team and independently.
- Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and workflow.
- Stand/sit for long periods; bend and lift frequently. Push and pull objects. Ability to lift 75lbs and more with assistance.
- Forklift certified, experience with warehouse tools and equipment.
- Assembly skills - the ability to read and follow product manuals.
- Strong knowledge and experience with hand and power tools.
- Should possess relationship-building skills and a customer service orientation.
