**The Opportunity**

WCLC is currently looking for an innovative and dynamic **Project Manager** to join our Portfolio Management Office (PMO) based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The PMO is responsible for creating business value by providing all areas of WCLC with project and portfolio management services to support delivery of business objectives.

**Position** **Overview**

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Develop project charters; including scope, planning, goals and objectives.
- Develop work package plans, project delivery schedules, cost estimates and budgets.
- Perform risk planning and analysis (qualitative & quantitative), including risk identification and risk response planning.
- Manage the tracking and control of program and project plans, including issue management, decision management and change management.
- Responsible for leading large and high-risk/complex projects, working with various business units and technology leaders, cross-functional teams, project team members and external parties to ensure projects are well-defined, planned and delivered.
- Demonstrates business and technical acumen to ensure deliverables and expected outcomes align with the Business Case.
- Provides valuable insights and recommendations on project delivery methodologies and practices when working collaboratively with other project management team members.
- Works closely with the project sponsor and delivery leader to develop the project charter, including defining the project scope, objectives, approach, measures of success, stakeholder engagement and communication plan.
- Engages & collaborates with governance stakeholders to ensure compliance of products towards the corporate risk profile, standards and organizational governance processes.
- Executes, tracks and monitors progress to plan and communicate the appropriate project information to all relevant project team members, sponsors and stakeholders.
- Contributes to and adapts to organizational change, best practices and improvements across teams, including the effective implementation and adherence to changes in processes and procedures.
- Looks for opportunities to improve team efficiencies.

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years as an experienced Project Manager preferred
- Experience utilizing an extensive knowledge of project methodologies, processes and practices to ensure the effective delivery of business and/or IT projects.
- Rapidly acquires new knowledge, learns new skills, and applies creative thinking to solve problems while understanding the organization’s vision, purpose and values.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing the full project lifecycle for multiple initiatives or work streams varying in complexity; ensuring the effective execution of large or complex projects to deliver a product or solution that satisfies stakeholder expectations and achieves project success criteria (schedule, budget, team cohesion, regulatory, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information and make rational decisions or recommendations in ambiguous or difficult situations.
- Possess strong entrepreneurial skills with a bias to delivering business outcomes, forging strong business partnerships, managing risk, managing scope change as an opportunity to deliver greater value and making value-oriented decisions.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
- Strong risk assessment and management techniques.
- Experience facilitating meetings and committees with diverse audiences (from technical teams to VPs) and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience with Office 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Forms) and project management tools, i.e., MS Project Server, Jira, Miro board, Confluence.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative virtual team environment, to facilitate and contribute to work across geographies and other functional teams
- Passionate about project management and delivering quality solutions, loves to learn and pass on learning to others, champions new ideas and works with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to influence and negotiate win-win outcomes among cross-functional teams.
- Accreditation in Project Management such as Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or other industry recognized Project Management accreditation is considered an asset
- Familiarity and experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
