_**PURPOSE**:_

The **Shop Supervisor (Foreman)** oversees all production activities and supervises all production employees on site. They organize the production schedule and allocate employees as needed to fulfill all of the company’s operational needs.
- **PRIMARY DUTIES**:_
- Ensure completion of pre-use inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts and other company equipment
- Ensure that company-supplied PPE is replenished regularly and available for employees
- Assist with loading and unloading activities when needed
- Ensure that incoming product is properly received, rotated and put away
- Train, coach and hold production employees accountable for conduct and performance
- Obtain production schedule from front office daily and ensure that production objectives are achieved
- Delegate cleaning, organizing and safety related tasks and follow up to ensure completion
- Complete daily opening checklist and perform opening and closing duties
- Perform monthly site hazard inspections and prepare safety to-do lists
- Visually inspect all fire extinguishers and test all emergency exit signs monthly
- Perform semi-annual first aid kit audits and ensure that missing items are replaced promptly
- Ensure completion of monthly safety meetings and proper communication of monthly safety meeting minutes
- Partner with the Site Manager to perform inventory cycle counts as scheduled
- Communicate with outside vendors to arrange for product deliveries
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- **QUALIFICATIONS: Education**_
- High school diploma or equivalent is an asset but is not required
- **Experience**_
- Minimum of 2 years’ prior experience operating a forklift
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- Prior experience operating a gas-powered chainsaw is an asset but not required
- Prior experience operating an all-terrain forklift is an asset but not required
- Prior experience with using fork extensions is an asset but not required
- **Knowledge / Ability**_
- Must be competent at operating an all-terrain forklift
- Must be capable of safely handling unusually long, unstable and unbalanced loads with a forklift
- **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:_
- Standing and sitting continuously for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending / squatting / crouching
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively
- Ability to climb steps and ladders and navigate unpredictable terrain on foot
- **Shift Hours**:_

3pm to 11:30pm (orientation/training 1-2mths from 6:30am - 3pm).
- **Wage**:_
- **$21.00 to $22.00 ( plus 5% evening shift premium)**_
