Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Client Care Attendant. Ideally, you are a PSW or equivalent that is interested in a part-time casual job opportunity to be on site when the owner (who lives on site) is away. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors.

**Responsibilities**:

- To ensure someone is in the building when the owner is away
- The pay rate is set up in 2 parts:
1) Flat rate to sleep through the night but you must prepared to respond to the call bell should someone require assitance during the night. This happens very rarely and,

2) Hourly rate of $19 / hour would begin when the bell sounds and runs until the assistance required is completed.
- The business requires 24 hour supervision to ensure resident safety. Your time would be scheduled for planned absences of the owner. Scheduling is always done a month in advance.
- We are a smaller retirement home with 20 units and a resident capacity of 20 - 22 residents.
- Our residents are very indepdendent and rarely require use of the call bell system.
- Ideally you are a PSW or equivalent, as your knowledge and expertise may be handy during when responding to a residents need.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a nursing home, assisted living facility, or home care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with senior care and caregiving principles

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
