Our Finance team plays a key role in helping us stay competitive in the ever-changing retail environment by providing accurate, timely, high-quality financial reporting, analysis and advice to our business. With over 600 employees across a variety of programs and projects, our Finance team is helping to ensure that our leaders have right financial information to make well informed decisions to drive our business forward.
**What You’ll Do**
The Analytics & Tactical Solutions team within Domestic Execution supports the daily execution teams managing all inbound and outbound freight within Canada. This team’s mandate is to provide insight into the performance of our operations (cost & service) to enable internal and external stakeholders to make sound business decisions that drive strong customer service to our CTR Associate Dealers within budget. Scope of work includes: reporting & analysis, data visualization, end-user tool development, process mapping & process improvement. The incumbent will be involved in all phases of the development of business solutions, from the identification and analysis of opportunities, through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Analyze various topics as assigned, from the simple to the complex, presenting findings, including key information and issues, as well as potential solutions.
- Publish regular daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to various stakeholders including Domestic Transportation teams & leadership, senior management, CTR Associate Dealers, and carrier partners.
- Contributes to identification, analysis, and recommendations of solutions (tools and processes)
- Works within a team environment to construct, test and implement solutions
- Prepare and present presentations/findings, issues and proposed solution on projects and activities to various stakeholders
**What You Bring**
- Working towards a degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience working with data in Relational Databases (i.e. proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Access)
- Proficiency in data reporting and visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
- Familiarity with project management, process analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strengths in Mathematics and Statistics
- Previous experience or knowledge of supply chain, logistics, manufacturing and supply chain processes is an asset
- Big Data experience/working knowledge an asset (i.e. Hadoop)
**Hybrid**
At Canadian Tire we value flexibility. We have adopted a hybrid work model whereby employees use a combination of working in office and virtually in service of outcomes. Each leader is empowered to decide what work is best achieved in person based on the unique needs of their team. This role will require a minimum two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) onsite at our Mississauga office.
